The following posts and comments were published within the "Rancho La Cresta Community Information" Facebook group, created and administered by Jessica Pearson in April 2024. These posts are reproduced from a forum that was visible to me at the time they were captured.

During the months leading up to the December 2024 Board election, the group became a primary forum for criticism of the Association's leadership, including frequent commentary regarding then-President Victoria LaBruzzo and other Board members. Following the election, Jessica Pearson was elected to the Board of Directors and continues to serve as administrator of the group.

Participation in the group was not open to all homeowners. Certain homeowners, current Board members, and former Board members who questioned or challenged information posted within the group were denied access, removed, or otherwise prevented from participating. As a result, many discussions occurred without the benefit of opposing viewpoints.

The purpose of publishing these posts is not to provide a point-by-point rebuttal of every statement made. Many of the issues discussed are now years old, and I have no desire to relitigate each conversation. Rather, these posts are presented to provide context and to demonstrate how narratives, accusations, and opinions can spread within a community when discussion occurs primarily from one perspective.

Readers will find criticism of Board decisions, commentary regarding individual homeowners and volunteers, speculation regarding motives and intentions, and repeated discussions about the character and fitness of specific individuals. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the opinions expressed, the posts provide insight into the tone, nature, and influence of the discussion taking place within the group during that period.

More importantly, this page raises a broader question for our community:

Is this how we believe neighbors should treat one another?

Reasonable people can disagree about Association issues. Healthy debate is part of every community. However, there is a significant difference between discussing policies and engaging in personal attacks. Communities are strengthened through transparency, civility, and respectful disagreement. The posts below are provided so readers may evaluate for themselves whether the discussions remained focused on issues and policies or became focused on individuals.  

Non-board homeowner names have been redacted to focus attention on the content of the discussions rather than the individuals participating in them. Jessica Pearson, Nav Toor & Mar Wi = Marina Williams are the names represented by current & former board members.
