Park Incident Timeline
June 26, 2025
A couple boys and their friends were asked multiple times throughout the day by a nearby homeowner and Jon & Victoria LaBruzzo to stop digging in Association common area landscaping. Each interaction was civil and ended with requests for the boys to clean up the area and return home. During one interaction, when the boys stated that their parents were fine with digging, Victoria stated that if the parents believed digging in the common area was acceptable, they should raise the issue with the HOA. [A parent] submitted a formal complaint regarding Director LaBruzzo to HOA Management.
July 18, 2025
Director LaBruzzo first became aware of the complaint while reviewing the Board package distributed to directors. The materials included photographs and an edited video recorded from a hidden camera positioned toward the rear of the LaBruzzo property.
Director LaBruzzo emailed Management requesting to discuss the matter.
Management responded that they could not discuss the issue.
Director LaBruzzo emailed Management and Board members a written response outlining additional context and factual details not included in the complaint and requested that the response be included in the Board package.
After learning that another [Homeowner 2] had been copied on the complaint email, Director LaBruzzo contacted that [Homeowner 2] (a mutual acquaintance) to explain that additional facts had not been included in the complaint, including that the boys had previously been asked multiple times to stop digging and had returned afterward. During the text exchange, the homeowner stated: “[Parent’s] husband wanted to get a restraining order against you...” The homeowner also stated: “But for the record, they didn’t make a complaint until after Neighbor 1 made a complaint against the kids.” Screen Shot Text
Questions arose regarding how information about the earlier communication to Management had become known prior to distribution of the Board package.
July 20, 2025
Director LaBruzzo emailed Management requesting clarification regarding who had access to information relating to the earlier homeowner email sent to Management concerning the common area. The email also expressed concern that the edited video could be circulated or used inappropriately given the existing conflict among Board members.
July 21, 2025
Director LaBruzzo emailed the parent involved and her husband requesting an opportunity to meet privately as neighbors to discuss the matter. No response was received.
July 23, 2025 – Board Meeting
The parent attended the Board meeting virtually and requested to display video and photographs during Open Forum. Management stated that the materials could not be shown during the meeting based on guidance from HOA counsel, although verbal comments were permitted during the homeowner comment period. Over the course of homeowner comments, multiple residents made critical statements regarding Director LaBruzzo and her husband. The parent requested an apology from Director LaBruzzo.
July 23, 2025
Director LaBruzzo was later permitted to provide her response to the Board, but not during the homeowner Open Forum portion of the meeting.
July 25, 2025 - July 28, 2025
Director LaBruzzo provided Management with a written timeline and supporting information, including phone records supporting that concerns regarding the digging activity had been raised repeatedly throughout the day. Director LaBruzzo also questioned why certain meeting conduct rules appeared to be enforced selectively during homeowner comments. Management responded that HOA counsel advised that homeowners could speak freely during their allotted Open Forum time.
The Board majority later indicated the matter would be handled internally.

[Homeowner1] email parent to describe the situation.
Subsequent Information Learned
Management later confirmed that, on June 27, 2025, a Board member was present in Management’s office when the earlier homeowner email regarding signage in the common area was received. According to Management, the Board member asked whether Management had “heard about the park incident yet.” Management stated that the underlying email itself was not shown or shared but was confirmed to have been received from a [Homeowner 1] to the board member. Within a few days of that interaction, the formal complaint was submitted to the HOA.
The park incident also resulted in Victoria LaBruzzo retaining legal counsel. The decision was prompted by concerns arising from the incident itself, including the recording and circulation of video involving Victoria LaBruzzo and her husband without their knowledge and the subsequent allegations being made within the community. Counsel was retained to assist in addressing those concerns and to prepare correspondence requesting that the conduct cease.
